you are being tracked online
Every site you visit online tracks you. As more of our day-to-day lives take place online, for work, study, and socialising, we may share more than we intend to. Our personal information such as our contact details, financial or even sensitive information about our health or beliefs can be revealed online in ways we may not expect. Online tracking, sophisticated phishing scams and data breaches are just some of the issues that can have a serious impact on our privacy. In fact, identity theft and fraud, and data breaches and security, as the biggest privacy risks we face today.

Do you know that
privacy is fundamental right
A nine-judge bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice JS Khehar, ruled on August 24, 2017, that the Right to Privacy is a fundamental right for Indian citizens under the Constitution of India (mostly under Article 21 and additionally under Part III rights)
and we must defend it
If you aren’t protecting your personal information online, you could be sharing things you would rather keep private.
Privacy is a limit on government power, as well as the power of private sector companies. The more someone knows about us, the more power they can have over us. Personal data is used to make very important decisions in our lives. Private and state-sponsored organizations are monitoring and recording your online activities. Don’s allow anyone to misuse that.
Who we are?
We are a team of concerned human beings, activists, engineers, technologists and artists to make a better world online. We are a non-profit collective operated entirely by volunteer contributors.

our manifesto
The individual privacy is a key human right and that data protection law is both an important protector of individual privacy and a necessary part of ensuring a fair balance of power between individuals and large organisations.
Citizens need the law to assure them of the ability to control the use of their data, while today’s international, data-driven businesses would prefer to have as few restrictions as possible

Our personal info is so valuable
that everyone wants a piece of it. Advertisers. ISPs. Search engines. Social networks. Online merchants. You name it.
They get to decide what happens to our personal info. What we see. What we consume. Where our info ends up. That’s the way the internet works.
WHY SHOULD you CARE
WHAT SHOULD you do
We often take our rights for granted, including the right to privacy. Privacy is a human right and should be available to all of us equally, without discrimination. Remember that you shouldn’t confuse privacy with secrecy. Everyone has something to hide – and protect – from the world. Privacy is what makes you human.
Trying to protect your data from everyone all the time is practically impossible and can be expensive too. Security isn’t just about the tools you use or the software you download. Rather, it begins by understanding the unique threats you face and how to counteract them.
"Arguing that you don't care about the right to privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don't care about free speech because you have nothing to say." - Edward Snowden
